Training Syllabus:
PROJECT SCHEDULING & CONTROLLING AND RISK ANALYSIS
COURCE OVERVIEW
The course is structured around a five-phase process that provides a step-by-step framework for learning about and doing project management in the Industry. The course focuses on key technical practices and issues relating to each of the five project management phases as well as on “human dynamics” which are critical success factors in project management, such as planning & scheduling and risk, gaining consensus, problem-solving, meeting and coordinating, dealing with change and team-building.
By attending this course, participants will:
- Use the work breakdown structure (WBS) to develop a network diagram
- Calculate schedule using PERT / CPM to determine critical task
- Predict work time using specific levels and estimate types
- Plan for contingencies and anticipate variations
- Predict future project performance based on historical data
- Apply Montecarlo simulation with Risk Analysis Software
THE COURSE SYNOPSIS
Organizations are increasingly requiring schedule risk Analysis in advance of key decision points to make sure they have a realistic view of their project timeline or schedule. Projects often overun their schedules because the schedule is not the idealized perfect schedule but is influenced by forces that lead to an infeasible plan form the beginning.
COURSE METHODOLOGY
The Course is designed to be taught interactively with syndicates and personal exercises, facilitation of group discussions, training videos, and discussions of real life examples.
