• The system safety engineering and management provides guidance on “how” to perform safety risk management, other questions concerning “when, who, and why” should be addressed through the three types of plans discussed in this document: System Safety Management Plan (SSMP), and a System Safety Program Plan (SSPP), and an Integrated System Safety Program Plan (ISSPP).
